Project update

I haven't had a chance to update the old blog in awhile. Here's what I've finished!

The Big Bad Baby Blanket from Stitch and Bitch





A scarf knit in a diagonal rib pattern made of Manos Flame Colorway. This was supposed to be for my fiance, but sadly, it was too pink and I had no choice but to keep it for myself.





Two other scarves: the pink one is Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece knit with Eros and Dazzlelash in garter stitch with rows of dropped yarn-overs. The other is Noro Big Kuryeon, again knit in the diagonal rib pattern. This is my fiance's replacement scarf, to make up for the Manos.

I am supposed to be writing my dissertation RIGHT NOW, but first let me share some pictures of knitting projects that I have actually completed.

On the needles now: the baby blanket from the Stitch and Bitch book, made in Lamb's Pride Cotton in Cotton Ball. Also a variation on the Booga bag in Lamb's Pride Worsted in pink, purple, and lime green. It should be....colorful.

In Which I Attempt to Write a Dissertation, Plan a Wedding, and Retain My Sanity

In the past six months, I've moved, gotten engaged, and won a dissertation fellowship that will allow me to stay home this academic year and just write. No teaching, no grading, no faculty research! So what do I do? I decide to start a blog to chronicle the year.
