Hmmm, I thought it was a lattice knit cable pattern but when I zoomed the Nordstrom's photo I see that is is just some smocking... so you would need to make the body wider than you need. The edging looks similar to what is on the bottom of the little liza jane dress (i know because I knit it like 3 times over).

Yeah I agree - it doesn't look like cables, it looks like it was gathered and smocked. The diagonal ridges cut across columns of stitches, it isn't a traveling column like a cable would be. It's beautiful!
i'm sayin. a little poufed and gathered sleeve cap, a little smocking, and you've got it. so cute. we will along it.
